The Gender and Development (GAD) support the desire of St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc. to promote gender equality and awareness among the administrators, faculty, personnel, students, and other stakeholders of the school. The integration of GAD into the vision of St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc. is articulated as:
‘True to our Ignacian Marian identity, we empower and nurture learners to become ethical and service-oriented and engaged citizens toward inner and social transformation for the common good.’
SMCTI aims to:
- Grow deeper in discernment and interior freedom and be a prophetic witness to faith, hope, and love in today’s world; and
- Build up resources and capabilities and create new paradigms to address social harmony towards a dignified life.
