The International Relations and External Linkages Office of St Mary’s College, Inc. has commenced its partnership with the ASEAN Community, starting with Indonesia. A sit-down meeting was conducted on 09 August 2022 via Zoom with Dr Erlyn Erawan, Director of International Affairs of Widya Mandala Surabaya Catholic University, Surabaya Indonesia, Dr Rene M. Babiera II, International Affairs and Linkages Officer of the University of Immaculate Conception, Davao City, and Dr Melwin G. Mende, IREL Director of SMCTI.

The meeting transpired to delve into the potential academic international engagements for the matched faculty and program offerings that both catholic institutions have, namely: Teacher Education (Secondary and Elementary Education), Psychology, Business Administration and Accountancy, Engineering, and Nursing.

International internships, faculty/student exchange, and other international academic engagements are a few of the initially discussed programs that will be undertaken with this most anticipated alliance.
