Selected faculty and administrators of St. Maryโs College of Tagum, Inc. (SMCTI) conducted a benchmarking visit to ๐๐ฑ๐ฎ๐บ๐๐ผ๐ป ๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ฒ ๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ on October 6, 2025, as part of the institutionโs efforts to strengthen academic quality and operational excellence.
The activity aimed to observe effective academic and non-academic practices that could serve as models for SMCTIโs continuous improvement. ๐ฝ๐ค๐ฉ๐ ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐จ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐จ ๐จ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐จ ๐ค๐ฃ ๐ค๐ช๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ข๐๐จ-๐๐๐จ๐๐ ๐๐๐ช๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐ง๐๐จ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐จ๐ฉ๐ช๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐จ๐ช๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐ฉ ๐จ๐๐ง๐ซ๐๐๐๐จ, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ข๐ข๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ซ๐ค๐ก๐ซ๐๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ. The visit covered various programs but highlighted the following which include the Basic Education Department, Teacher Education, Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Liberal Arts, Nursing, Computer Science, and Engineering, focusing on curriculum enhancement, internship programs, and technology-supported learning.
As Catholic institutions, Adamson University and De La Salle University also emphasized the importance of integrating Catholic values in instruction and student formation. Their practices highlighted the balance between academic competence and moral responsibility, which aligns with SMCTIโs mission of providing quality Marian and Catholic education.
