St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc., participated in the 31st Association of Southeast and East Asian Colleges and Universities Conference 2025, with the theme “Pilgrims of Hope: Spiritual Development and Action of Gen Z,” held at Providence University, Taichung, Taiwan, on August 18-21.
Represented by Dr. Neil Ryan B. Ado, SMCTI’s VPAA, and Ms. Andrea Louise C. Carnecer, Program Head of AB Psychology Program, the event aimed to foster awareness and understanding on an international scale of the issues confronting Gen Z and how Catholic schools should respond, focusing on the crucial role and responsibility of the youth in the fast-changing world, Gen Z’s actions, and spiritually related developments.
The regional association, affiliated with the International Federation of Catholic Universities, seeks to promote Catholic higher education, support local churches, and contribute to the educational dialogue on an international level beyond the Southeast and East Asian region.
SMCTI’s participation reaffirms its commitment to holistic education and active engagement in the international stage and faith-based institution.
